An individual's right to vote is an important aspect of citizenship in the USA.
We are fortunate to live in a democracy where we take part in those decisions.
Fifth graders at Rapid Valley will be participating in Kids Vote on election day, so we need to make sure we are "registered voters" by the deadline!
You will be getting a voter registration card, just like your parents have!
If your parents are registered to vote and unsure of where they need to go to do that, they can check with the Secretary of State's website link below to see where they should be on November 6. (Of course, if they would rather vote early at the County Courthouse, they can do that too. Early voting takes place in October)
